Politics

Colombia is an overall steady democracy despite the struggle it has had for decades on the “guerrilla” groups in its territories known as FARC. The past years the Colombian government and the guerrilla factions have been able to negotiate for a permanent peace deal which was signed in 2017. The treaty was a major achievement, though its implementation has been slow.
