Assuming its as sedan, it should be in the region of 1800 euros. Depending on the CO2 rating of the car you may get some discount (usually -10%) or a penalty (usually +10%)

hmm maybe that would work out... I am just trying to make a safe purchase. I dont want to find a car that looks good online only to have it arrive with no engine lol

Does anyone know the cost of excise duty on a 1.8 engine? 2004 model? I have been quoted 220 euros, but that seems suspiciously low.

Hi,

Will it not be easier and cheaper if you try and buy direct from a UK dealer in the UK? then ask the dealer to diliver to your shiping company to ship to Cyprus.Once the arrives in Cyprus, get an agent in Cyprus to sort it out.

I am sure you will safe aleast 2000 to 3000 euros????
