I guess the newly opened Limnitis crossing is technically your nearest, but it's a huge and steep detour round the Kokkina enclave and then quite a schlepp to Ercan once you're over, so I probably wouldn't go that way. The easiest way is probably motorway to Nicosia then cross at Ayios Dhometios, which is also the nearest crossing to Ercan. We always cross at Astromeritis/Zodia, mainly because it's the most convenient to where we live but also because it's usually very quiet - we've often been the only vehicle in sight there. That route via Morfou also gives you a straight run on good roads to Ercan without having to go into Nicosia. Depends whether you want to make the trip over Troodos to Zodia or go the long way round on the motorway to Nicosia. Either way you've got a reasonably long trip ahead of you.

I live at Agios Georgios, just at the start of Akamas and will be setting off from Peyia?
