A friend of ours had heard this so went to the police station today and asked what the situation is.

The policeman he spoke to confirmed that the Tax Disc has to be removed from the screen. It was also pointed out that all windows have to be clear of stickers (I assume this to mean car dealership where car was bought, I love Cyprus stickers etc)

That's what I thought but that is what I was told (by a passer-by) who saw my Tax Disc and MOT certtificate on the windscreen.

I think I could stand the 8 Euros fine if that is the worst outcome!

Just coming in from the UK wher regulations have gone mad, I was expecting worse, but didn't know where to get advice.

Thanks.

To be honest, that would be the silliest ever thing...you MUST display a road-tax disc, the fine for not doing so, though rarely enforced is a measly 8Euro. Prosecution ??? that sounds a bit over-board doesn't it ?
