Does anyone know what time the restaurants etc down by the Larnaca marina stop serving food on New Year's Eve?? We are trying to see how to eat and then be there for midnight without having to kill time for a couple of hours!!!!!! Limassol is dead we have found on New Year's Eve. Do the restaurants etc need bookings, or can we just walk in???

Europa Square by the Marina in Larnaka from 11pm on Dec 31st. Free beer, wine, zivania, nuts, Santa with presents for the kids. Fireworks, and cutting and distribution of the traditional Cypriot Ne Year cake - vasilopita.

Hi u.

Well it depends on what you're into really.

Whether its clubs, dining out or a few drinks.

If you want lively, obvious place is phinikoudes area. Always has a good vibe come New Years.

Dhekelia area is a bit dry in terms of entertainment, my opinion anyway!

Thats local, but if you can be bothered to drive and have some nice friends who can put you up, I would say Limassol. Has nice restaurants and trendy places to go drinking! Also has a nice buzz to it too! Same goes for Nicosia as well.

Either way they arent a far drive, if you can be bothered and you can stop couple nights!

Merry Christmas
