Hi

You can find info on this on Parenting in Cyprus here http://parentingincyprus.webs.com/apps/blog/show/3041591-the-law-with-regards-to-your-child-and-car-seats

I agree you should say either you put my child in a seat belt or car seat or he isn't allowed in the car with you. You are his mum and you should have the final say.

Good luck

Hi there, I totally understand you. I hate it when my famiy take my son somewhere and don't use a child seat (we have 3 as well). Try to keep the law as a last resort (unless they're ex-inlaws) and tell them if they don't respect your wishes they won't be allowed to have your son stay with them to travel in the car.

As his mother they have to respect your wishes. Sadly in Cyprus no one takes much notice of people whom drive and let the kids jump all over the place. Only if the worst happens they'll bother to even think of it. Need to bring some of the UK adverts over here.
