Such situations are always tricky, but you have to remember that the insurance company must pay unless they can establish that there was a pre-existing condition... Law is on your side - firstly, get them to disclose the details of why do they believe in the pre-existing condition. That step is clever because they will be automatically loosing the case if they refuse such a request (wasting your time, wasting your lawyer's time, wasting court's time etc.), plus it might give you more information to decide on how to proceed.

Then, decide upon the situation for yourself (whether they have sufficient proof of pre-existing condition).

If you disagree with their conclusion after reviewing the information they have, contact one of the lawyers - there is a good directory on this web-site. As always, go for big law-firms who can afford particular specialists. As for quality, there is plenty of professional review publications out there - for instance, Legal 500 ( http://www.legal500.com/c/cyprus/dispute-resolution ).

Anyway, wish you good luck.

When that happened to me I didn't use a lawyer. My husband (Cypriot) would not give up and dealt with the owner of the company (Shacolas - owner of Cyprus Mall etc etc). He paid out in the end.
