Hi Simoneb

You need a Certifying Officer to check your inedtity and witness your signature. Certifying Officers are appointed by the Interior Ministry and can be found in all the towns - Google Certifying Officers and you'll find plenty.

Regards,

Nigel

Hi

I really do specifically need a Notary public as we are pursueing a commercial litigation case and have documents , like a Lien , that needs to be signed and stamped by a notary.

Thanks :)

I am pretty certain that since Cyprus is now a member of Europe you do not need to have a notary to notarise documents. A solicitor should be able to do this.

Hi Simoneb,

We went to the town hall and the Mayors Office dealt with our enquiry and signed some forms for us. This was as an independent witness to confirm identity (just like your initial passport application in the UK requiring 'an upstanding citizen in the community')

A quick search also found this

Hope this helps.
