If you want to eat where the local Cypriots do then I suggest Cousins Tavern, which is above the coffee shop next to The Mill ( great breakfast ) and directly opposite the green area with the Big Clock, know locally as Little Ben. The menue is quite simple so fresh cooked and prices are very reasonable. Enjoy.

There are 2 excellent places to eat in Peyia.

Peyia Tavern run by Michallis and his wife. Excellent grilled meze the best I have found in Cyprus. Only thing that has changed in last 20 years is the price.
It is near the church opposite The Mill bar (see below)

Savvas Grill, run by Savvas and his wife Eleni. Excellent food, especially the kleftico and the suckling pig. There are 2 roads up into Peyia, one from Coral Bay and one further up - they meet and become one at a point - Savvas is located just before the other road before they meet.

The Mill is a fantastic, non-pretentious bar that always has great friendly service.
