Best traditional meze house is Stavros' Taverna in Moutallos (old town Paphos) on the corner in the square. Very basic place but the food is fantastic and it's very inexpensive

We agree Costas Tavern Gerskipou/Koloni and 7 St George are the best around, we visit them often. Both are family run taverns, Costas and George are very welcoming and the food is wonderful.

We can definately agree on Costas Taverna in Koloni (Geriskopou border towards airport on the B6) The food is absolutely delicious and they are very welcoming. We go there often and are reluctant to try elsewhere now ... and the plus side is we live 100 metres from there :-)

I've been to Costa's tavern in Geroskipou many times and was always very pleased with the great meze they serve.
Friday night is meze night with live music.

You can find Costas along the B6 in Geroskipou. When you drive from Geroskipou towards Limassol / Paphos airport, just after exiting the centre of the village they are on the right hand side, on top of the hill.

Vote for both the Cousins and st Georges but the Laona in Ktima is tops! Chris and Koulla make everything from scratch and all is cooked slowly in the oven. Their taverna is just up the side stree before the entrance to Paphos market, if you walk down Makarios Avenue, cross the tradffic lights and I think it is called exo vryssi... tables and chairs in the street and truly brilliant cooking!

Hello again,

Does anyone know the Taverna in the old town? I believe it is open at lunch times and only 2 evenings a week.I have been told it is not visible of the main street, you walk through to a kind of court yard and has a blackboard outside.

Thank you.

We always go to the Taverna in Plataniskia. Food is excellent, reasonably priced. A family run taverna (Andrikos & Eleni). Well worth the scenic drive to a quaint village. Take the the road off the motorway to Avdimou and follow road straight up through Agios Thomas. You can sit outside eat your meal and enjoy the view. Just beautful!

Savvas Tavern and Peyia Tavern are both in Peyia.

Coming from Paphos, as you get to Coral Bay on your left, you will see a turning on your right to Peyia and then a little roundabout - go sraight over the roundabout and carry on a kilometre or so until you find the second turning for Peyia on your right - the is a stone built park/cafe/restaurant there. Take that turning and follow the road up the hill heading into Peyia. Savvas Tavern will be on your left after about 1 km.

For Peyia Tavern, carry on past Savvas Tavern, into Peyia centre and just before the church you will see it on your right, across the road from The Mill which is a lovely reaxed bar - very non-pretentious with great service.
