No - holidays that fall at the weekend are not carried over to the Monday.

Carrying holidays over again depends on your employer, some do, some don't.

Over the festive season, the official holidays are; 25, 26 December and 1, 6 January.Depending on who you work for, sometimes you have the 24th off or half the day off and also half the 31 December off too. Some companies don't work on Jan 2 either, but this is all up to the employer and they are not obliged to give you these days off.

Hi,

Unfortunately Christmas eve is not a holiday in Cyprus. If you ask around you will see that banks and public offices are open that day. Some times you can have an early finish but its always on the discretion of the employer.
