There are more job opportunities in Limmasol and Nicosia, next comes Larnaca, Paphos is the worst.
Some agencies charge a fee to join, this does not always guarantee employment.

Hi. there

West End Travel in Limassol at the seafront near Debenhams is also a recruitment agency. However, the previous posts tell you the real picture. On the whole not good.

Good luck

I'm afraid Spanner is right. It is not like Western Europe here.

'Normal' jobs have Cypriot people working there - in the business world. Speaking Greek.

Low-paid, undesirable jobs, supermarket workers etc are filled by eastern europeans. (They quickly learn Greek albeit with a weird accent). Brits 99% find it impossible.

I think the employment agency route wouldn't throw up much. If you were teachers, you could find something in English-medium schools.

So bes to really get to know the situation, not to be disappointed. This website is an excellent place to get advice.

Good luck.

It depends a lot on what kind of jobs you are looking for. If you are UK Council/Government employees, forget it. You will need specific skills to find a reasonable job and it would help if you could read and write Greek, otherwise you will be competing for low-paid work with many Eastern Europeans who are willing to work a lot cheaper than those from the UK (presuming you are from the UK).
