shame the 'green dot' bins are not in easier-to-access areas, like supermarket car parks, but in places where it is hard to stop the car, like near roundabouts...
does anyone know wether the vandalised cans-for-kids collection bin at limassol hospital has been replaced ??

At the moment, most of the major municipalities actually have a facility for sifting through all the rubbish to remove anything that can be recycled before it goes to landfill.

Apart from the Green Dot collection points/bins for plastics, tetrapacks, cans and tins, the ones for glass, and for paper/cardboard, look out for the WEEE (Waste Electonic and Electrical Equipment) collection points.

In addition most supermarkets and banks have collection 'tubes' for batteries and Cyta has collection points for old mobile phones, chargers and batteries, landline phones, fax machines etc.
