The African hornets love; ripe grapes, pet food, fresh animal carcass, and coffee!!! Check to see if any of the above could be enticing them. They like a drink of water so keep an eye on pet bowls and bird baths.

Hi Graham, Hornets are generally quite peaceful despite their scary size and sound, their sting is no worse than a bee or wasp. They are not attracted to food waste preferring to eat live insects. They will only pose a threat if you approach their nest too closely or block their flight path.

They are hornets as well and string pretty good too so be careful as when they get angry, they will attack.
