Problems with keyboard

Thank you guys,
I managed to sort out the problem for now - Something to do with the language bar - What I can't understand is how it suddenly changed unless 3 year old pressed something he shouldn't! The @ and " are now in the correct place.

More than likely you keyboard is set up for American English and not English UK. Follow the steps above on wikihow and change the language setting to English (United Kingdom)

give this a try, it worked for me:7Test out the keys using a word processing program such as Notepad or MS Word. If the problem persists, it may be a hardware issue.
