Where to fix a Wii

No idea what "chipping" is .... haven't done anything with it. It happened over a couple of days - first it switched into standby mode every few minutes and now it stays in standby mode no matter what we do.

Have you chipped it? What were you trying to do when this happened? were you messing about with the firmware trying to hack it?
A few thinks to try:Leave it on. Sometimes after a few minutes pass it kicks into a factory reset mode automaticaly and allows you to burn the firmware again. Try a latest version game some of them come with the latest firmware installed ( I think wii music does) so as soon as it detects it it might try to upgrade and fix itself, assuming it gets to the point of reading the disk.

By the way I have tried Acapella (music and video store) but they don't fix 'em!
