i must be one of the lucky ones then......i bought my 5 showdogs [ 2 spaniels 3 beagles] over 20 mths ago......i did all the paperwork myself passports were £130 each, boxes £90 each, but to get all 5 here the air fare was only £1040 with Cyprus airways.........bargain and no hassle at all we traveled on the same flight too...........you have to find out though pretty quickly as there are only certain months they will fly livestock because of the temperatures...............not in the heigt of summer and we had the last flight possible in October before the winter shut down

I did all the paperwork myself and brought my cat over with British Airways, she's 4.5kg and the cost was approx (3yrs ago) GBP 430 (does not include vet work for passport or the travel cage) so I imagine double or triple that price (or more) for each dog.

Hi, I brought my Setter to Cyprus four years ago with Jetset Pets. He came with Thomsonfly from Glasgow and was met by my daughter in Paphos. I think the final cost including his made to measure Box and Passport and vet and custom fees came to around £1,300. My email address is irene_english@yahoo.co.uk

Hi nats1,

Take a look here http://cyprus.angloinfo.com/information/10/pettravel.asp for the red tape stuff!

The cost will depend on the airline and the size / weight of your dogs. If you could arrange to be on the same flight you may be able to talk the airline into a discount for the dogs in the hold travelling as cargo. Some of the low cost carriers don't carry live freight but shop around to get the best deal.
