Not quite correct what Jezebel wrote.

1) Microchip and Rabies Vaccine (acquire pet passport)

2) A month after rabies vaccine a Blood Test to prove the puppy has enough rabies antibodies.

3) Dog cannot enter the UK until 6 months from the date the blood sample was taken (if before this date you want to enter the dog will stay in quarantine in the UK until the blood test is 6 months old)

4) in a period of not more than 48 hours and not less then 24 hours before check in at the airport of departure the dog will have to visit a vet to have tick and tapeworm treatment done.

Hi Francesca, my daughter has just taken her dog back to UK First of all you must have your puppy vaccinated for rabies and have a certificate to prove the puppy is ok this has to be done six months before you go, then a visit to the vet not sure if it is 12 hours or 24 hours before you fly for flea and tick application, a travel box it can be wood or plastic. You have to get the puppy's ticket along with that you will get a lot of forms and that will help you through the process. You have to be at the airport 2 and a half hours before the flight once there they will help you.
