why dont you just trap it and throw it back into a field away from your home?

I was gardening 2 years back and got bit by something nasty on my leg, it looked like two small bite wounds, the biten area blew up, itched and burned, then turned purple and lasted for almost 5 weeks and then I had a scar there that lasted for about a year. It was probably a poisonous spider but I didnt die from it.

Hi

We live in one of the villages out in the sticks in Paphos , we often see the Big Black Spiders ( Tarantulas ) around , they are about 2 to 2-1/2 inchs across and Black , we also get many others which are not Hairy and measure about 1-1/2 inchs across .

Plus other's which visit our garden , such as small Scorpions , 5 to 6 Feet Black Snakes and some times a brown one for good measure , of course loads of Lizards .

Any sound familiar ???

Have had quite a few in my garden. A friend of mine in the middle of Nicosia had 46 of various sizes in 9 years - his kids kept a record :-)
