BRITTANY (France)

Jutting out at an angle into the Atlantic, Brittany (La Bretagne in French) is a coastal region in the North West of France with a strong maritime identity and a Celtic past. The region is famous for giving us the Breton stripe and seafarers will find themselves at home with wet weather and charming medieval port towns like St Malo and Quimper.

The capital, Rennes, lies further in shore. A hive of student activity, it’s also the capital of crepes. Agriculture, food processing and transport all are big industries in Britany region and it is the 2nd most egalitarian in France in terms of pay.
