Thanks for the info.  We're actually over in France (and broke down here only to discover we had no cover!!)  It's a Mazda Bongo and after contacting Mazda here they have no spare parts because they don't have Bongos here.

I would get it fixed before you leave,somewhere like Halfords or Quickfit will probably be able to do it at short notice,but won't be cheap,alternatively go online and arrange a short term breakdown cover ie 7days or more.but do it asap as with some companies it won't start the cover for 24/48hrs,when I bring a car over from UK I take out a 7day  European insurance and breakdown cover just to get me back home here in France,goodluck.sabc15.

You have still got time to arrange cover. I presume it's UK reg so all you need is a short period holiday cover. Look online. Personally I'd get it fixed before I travelled.
