Did it fail because there was a hole in the exhaust and they couldn't test it,normally you blast the car up the road for around 15 mins at 90 in third which should clean it through.

Put some Catalytic Convertor Cleaner in with the petrol/diesel tank and drive the car for about 20 miles before the re-test to get the engine hot. Works a dream.

The CT chap seriously won't give a monkeys about seeing any bills for repair, he will just go over the parts of the CT he failed and see if the car now passes.

The car will be retested, you don't need anything from the repairer.

The UK is no different when it comes to sticking with the old and familiar. People still refer to MOT tests and chassis numbers etc.

That's the joy of A.I. members always  going off track.  Just go there with the failed C.T and any other reciepts for part that you have changed or facture's  from the garage that may have done the work. Good luck.

Yes it is true that on the front it states Certificat d'immatriculation but to every Frenchman and no doubt many of us Brits it will still always be be la carte griseand I can't see it being called anything else but....

They can call it what they like but its gray and made from card hence carte grise,if it was green it would be carte verte perhaps they intend to call it the CI which might sound better than CG.
