If the number in the relevant box is complete and accurate then there should be no need for a seperate CofC.  It's a lottery like most things here.  Quite often the info on the V5 is incomplete or inaccurate and will be rejected by the prefecture but it's worth having a go if the box appears to be filled in.

Still puzzling over the Peugeot reference in your topic title.............................

Hi

Thanks for the reply.

The car is 2005 and on the log book there is a Type of approval number and next to it a letter e with some numbers stars and slashes, is that it ?

Does that mean I do not need Certificate of conformity and what would be the next stage please.

Many thanks for your help, much appreciated.

Vauxhall UK charged me £40  back in 2007 and  2 certificates arrived  - one in French / one in English  sent by Fedex.

Email Vauxhall Customer Service for more details:

What year is you vauxhall????

It could be that you have the "E" number on your V5 which should enable you to use that to register your car.

Hi

I did mine some 8 years ago direct through Vauxhall HQ in Luton for my Vectra.

Very quick and around £80.00 if I remember. Got CoC's back in English, French and German with no problem at all.

€160.00 sounds about right nowadays.

Cheers
