Walnut needed to add a but to their answer. Taxes will be due on cars less than six months old or that have done less than 6000km.

You do need a QF to show that the tax any tax due has been paid.

In answer to your original question I've never had anything more than a scruffy, hand written bit of A4 as receipt of purchase in 10 years and a dozen or so vehicles.

Thank you for your reply walnut72

so do we not need the Quitus Fiscal) or tax clearance form now as it is a 2011 UK registered vehicle?

there are no taxes or customs duties payable on a uk registered car.

depending on the age you may need certificate of conformity? you may have type approval and variant in the log book and that often is enough. If you dont have a sales invoice just write one. dont forget to take your passport, proof of domicile, ie phone bill/ demand from impots, log book,.

If you have a current MOT with at least 6 months on it you can now register the car with that.

You will have to pay at the prefecture to get the carte grise depends on cv rating, age, emmissions
