Feel sad for the farmers herabouts if that happens jackorjason, but no doubt, someone'll squeal on Germany, Sweden and Finland.

There will be more pork ' flooding ' into France soon because Germany , Sweden , Finland etc will ban imports for fear of upsetting their new citizens

I just heard from my wife who works in Pontivy, and the place is choc-a-bloc with congestion caused by the farmers right now, oh yeah, and one thing to be aware of, is that the farmers are going to target the supermarkets next week. Best stock up when you can folks!!!!! That's if you can get in or out to a supermarket that is :)

The farmers gripe is that they are having to sell their pork at less than the cost of producing it due to cheap imports undercutting them.

That's the story anyway.

Plenty of diversion signs up, didn't seem too much of a problem.

Does anybody know what their gripe is for all this grief?

Just had to cancel a rdv ,the receptionist was very understanding and said that we weren't the first to cancel.

Before anyone recommends alternative routes yes we could but would take 3 to 4hrs to get there because of the farmers striking, not very comfortable for an elderly lady  ( I did ask her permission to state elderly ).

I couldn't get into Pontivy coming from Rohan direction, diversions took me to more blockages so I should imagine the same on other routes in.
