Hi

ITVplayer is not geo-blocked, unlike BBC iplayer. It is funded by adverts.

Cheers

Buy a cheap hub , plug your cable into that and then any other devices into it.

Thank you for your reply, I thought it was a case of one or the other. I do have a spare socket on my livebox but it is a 20 metre run.

As for ITV player, I just plugged it in out of curiosity and it worked I cannot explain that.   BBC player also loads but will not play.

I am on Orange and have a .fr ISP

If you have a spare Ethernet Cable socket on your livebox you can run a separate cable from your Humax box to your livebox.  Alternatively use a switch.  Here is a selection on Ebuyer in the UK but they don't deliver to France.  Look on ebay and you will find plenty for sale.

For some degree of future proofing on speed look for this, nothing less.  10/100/1000 Mbps

However without wishing to dampen your intentions.  How do you manage to get ITV Player on your Freesat Box.  Most of us who do that use a VPN of some sort.
