If Netflix continue with their blocking policy you'll only be delaying the inevitable but you might like to have a look at the Tor Project which is a bit geeky but uses members computers as gateways so it's unlikely that individual IP addresses will be black listed.There is also a free/commercial product that works in a similar way but who's name completely escapes me for the moment.

SmartDNS had a problem with accessing Netflix for a while last year so I wouldn't bet on that being a way in for ever. Indeed I'd guess that in the longer term the BBC, Netflix and other restricted content providers will use more sophisticated routing diagnostics and sniffing information from your computer (like time and date setting) to restrict access. 

The BBC are certainly sniffing your computer already, I have a UK IP address (not proxy) and iPlayer wouldn't let me in untill I'd cleaned up my history, deleted cookies and generally made my lappy look a bit less foreign
