Thanks for the info Tregadilet I did'nt know that the ceiling had collapsed - I used to buy my coach tickets there Since 2007. I understand there used to be a summer tourist rail service up to three years ago - I used to see timetables for it. I am sorry to hear so many things are been lost from Pontivy.    Regards.

Does anyone know why Pontivy Station ticket office has been closed for so many months?

The station ceiling collapsed in 2014! and no plans to replace it.

The line closed to rail traffic in 1949 and there is a now a bus service from there.

Hi, just wanted to say the same thing happened to me, took friends to visit Rohan Castle in Pontivy last summer and it was closed - however we did appreciate why when we saw the collapsed wall. Does anyone know why Pontivy Station ticket office has been closed for so many months?

Its in the hands of an insurance arguement now , the insurers say the wall isn't covered and the Commune who rent it from its owners say it is ! as all in France it will take years to go through court !
