You must take her to the Gardens of Brocieliande - its a bit of a trek for you but our grandkids absolutely love it, but pick a nice day - it iswell worth the trip.

Its as the name suggests a garden but it has loads to do for kids -

There is a sensory walk - you go barefoot and experience all sorts of sensations underfoot - including walking through mud - they love that.

There is a blindfold area walk where you experience the walk by feel adn smells.

Theres another are where they can make noises drumming etc.

A play area which incorporates water

A japanese garden, lakes and shrubs and a part with a netting walkway

The ususal swings etc

Various breeds of chickens in innivotive settings and some farm type animals.

A cafe, picnic area and (when we went - a van sellling crepes etc)

Everything is suitable for a six year old

If you had time left over and like walking you could visit the golden tree - in the forest of Broceiliande

I would go to Branféré which is near to Le Guerno which is a small village also worth seeing.  Not really very interesting for a 6 year old but still worth half an hour and an ice cream.  Branféré is the cleanest and most interesting zoo I have ever been to.  No big cats or elephants but child friendly and intersting animals with other activities as well.

Just take care if buying animal feed when going into the goat enclosure.  The goats are very persistent in hunting out the food whether in the hands of small children or in hand held bags.

This is their web site: http://www.branfere.com
