Don't get confused by "English Speaking" all major contracts , purchases etc must be in your mother tongue , Unless the Notaire is an Aproved interpeter ( non existant)  his actes are technically illegal if you sign them without an interpreter .. An estate agent would make themselves responsible for any faults or misinterpretation if they sign as having translated for you . I have watched people make these mistakes over the last 27 years ..
