Ing only offer limited fund choice which YOU have to choose. they often offer headline rates for a short period before dropping again.

speak to a financial adviser rather than your bank, who again only offer thier own products. a decent adviser will be able to help recommend funds and currency choice.

So many parameters here...  % growth, management fees, etc.  Plus the complicated issue of how or when to draw down in function of the tax issues.  Most french use Ass Vie as an instrument to take assets out of inheritance tax, so are really putting aside for family while keeping a 'what-if' option open.  I'm sure you'll get loads of figures, but it will really only be judged a success or not years from now. Funds in euros are already treated diferently for CSG than stock-units, so any reply will only be a rough comparison; it may also depend exactly where the company is registered.
