There is a good guide here for letting property, but it does not specifically cover renting out land. AFAIK regaining posession can be a problem even if there is no land.

Sell it, because once you rent it you then become liable to capital gains on any profit, but as advised you need to talk to a notaire.

go to someone who KNOWS agricultural leases and laws pertaining to them ,not a city notaire .

Sabc15,This is probally the worst place you could ask for information on  this subject as you will get totaly spurious info.

Go to the experts IE a Notaire.

But be very carefull who you rent to.

Go to the Notaire first - you dont want any unpleasant surprises. Letting in France is certainly more complicated in France and as everywhere it is sensible to get as much information from professionals first - good luck.
