Tom: you print off the application form and pay on-line,  giving your french address for delivery. The site and whole process is quite straight- forward.

My husband's new passport arrived this afternoon along with another parcel containing the old one (with a corner cut off ). I have a feeling there was a slightly cheaper option to return the old passport as there were no supporting documents and so didn't really need to be "signed for ". Like M&D, I was very impressed with the whole service. The only glitch came when my husband broke the photo booth - read what you will into that!  Gave us a laugh or two.

Unfortunately, you may be disappointed to find that the package just contains your old passport with the corners cut off! Like you we were amazed to receive a DHL package from the passport office this morning after less than 2 weeks since our applications, however, I now think we will be waiting quite a little longer for our new passports!
