ok thanx for all that news - i do all my stuff on google spreadsheets anyway so it's more a case of getting the formula correct then it all comes out as an annual total - courtesy of Google ! Thanx guys !!!

It also seems that is fact that some french tax offices except figures worked out from the UK tax year,so it may be worth checking jimbo with your office in france, could make life easier for you.

I always send a copy of my P60 but the fact remains that the French tax year is Jan to Dec.

Interestingly enough in 2014 after I had problems with my accountant I took all my documents into the tax office and the only P60 they wanted to see was the one ending in Mar 2014 as the tax person said they are happy to accept that but equally they were happy if you wanted to do the sums to proportion out the  2 tax years as the amounts involved are quite small percentages anyway

My tax office accepts April - March from British residents. Makes it so much easier.
