The payment dates might depend on your exact location and which tax office that you come under. Just for information I have to pay my Foncière by 27 October and habitation by 15 December. Be aware that they might send the bills out to the address you had when you signed the papers at the Notaire. It is up to you to keep the tax man informed of any change of address.

But you would have to pay the current year due in one go, and then set up the monthly payments for the following year, so that you are paying in advance.

Direct Debit would be better for us, it makes budgeting easier, thanks.

When the bills come you will find a website address where you can set up monthly direct debits. They take ten equal payments and catch up with any increases etc in month 11and 12. They positively encourage the use of this method.

Thank you for the response, I guess this is just paid in one hit straight away?

Yes you pay both and the bills come in around September if you were the owner on 1 January this year.  If not, you won't get a bill until next year.
