This is the rate as received from my local Depot des Impots.

Monsieur,

Le taux de conversion pour 2014 : 1GBP=1.24023€
1€= 0.80630 GBP

Re. ex-rate - last year I was advised (can't remember by whom! ) to use the average rate for the year  calculated by the Banque de France, and stated this on my form.  They didn't query it, so will do the same this year.

Re. foreign accounts - yes, thanks, I have these listed on an Excel sheet from last year, nothing's changed so will submit the same again.

Don't forget to get the form to declare any foreign accounts or at least list them on a separate piece of paper.

Why would the exchange rate be on the form as it applies to all foreigners not just Brits. There are many discussions on AI as to how to arrive at an exchange rate. Strictly speaking it is the rate on the day you receive the money but unless you had a huge windfall last year an average will do. Please note that you don't have to show the rate you used unless questioned.

I can't see anywhere on the forms re the exchange rate to be used.  I guess it would an average over the year.

Type in "tax deadlines" in the search box and I think it was a discussion on 4 April.

Every year we recieve the two forms seperately, usually several days apart.
