Super U at st Pol de Leon is open Sunday morning, very good shopping and fresh. Have a good time.

That's good to know. We've been caught out by E LeClerc being closed, then rushed to Geant, Morlaix in increasing panic only to find that shut, then on to Super U Lanmeur, ever increasing panic...also shut.  Finally to find local shops in our village to be open til 12.  Phew!! Hence my query. This will make life less stressful in future.

aramanta is wrong about supermarkets not being open on Sunday mornings. Both Super U and Netto in St Pol de Leon (about 5 - 8 minutes from the ferry port) are open from 9am - noon.

Hi folks, just a quick update. Went to Ty Pierre on Sunday morning and waited for ages for service. Got fed up of being taken for an idiot so went to the Pizzaria just down the road. Got a much better breakfast with decent and friendly service. Cannot recommend Ty Pierre for early travellers.

Thanks very much. We'll try there Sunday morning. Yes we've been caught out before on Sunday openings so bring enough with us to get through to Monday.

You'll find the bar is open on Sundays early ready for the first ferry passengers. A word of warning though - very few supermarkets in N Brittany are open Sunday morning. Will you need to stock up on provisions when you arrive? If so it would be great to know what's open in the area.

thank you Aramata for your suggestion to try Ty Pierre at Roscoff for our coffee and croissants. We sat outside in the early morning sunshine and it was a lovely start to a four day visit. The bar staff were friendly and the croissants flakey but we chickened out over the coffee and had hot chocolate instead, yummy.   we then went to Plesidy for a fantastic 12 euro lunch in the restaurant by the church, ( with the best ever Tirimesu) followed by a very sobering visit to the resistance musiem nearby.  yesterday it was the valley of the saints at Carnoet, just amazing and today, Lake Guerledan and Bon Repos. Home tomorrow but not before a visit to st Pol de Leon and Roscof, picking up some Roscof pink onions on the way. Thank you Brittany.

Bar Ty Pierre right on the front. Free parking. Just turn right when you come out of the ferry port and follow the road into town. views over to Ile de Batz as you drive in. Fabulous intro to Brittany and open for breakfast.
