Honestly - I phoned them twice, emailed, wrote AND visited - and yes, in French, admittedly not perfect French - and have never got a response.  Good luck. :)

I've seen the maison d'ecluse at Pont Bonen - anyone know how much it is for sale for?

(don't say contact the notaire on the for sale board.  I've tried that and got nowhere)

We once met up with a guy who was renovating en ecluse he had bought - he said it was sold as a leasehold property.

Lock is an écluse. Someone who lives alone is a recluse, so  if someone lives alone in a French lock keepers cottage: an écluse ocuppied by a recluse?

Its an "ecluse" not a recluse and the ones for  sale have boards on them , there is one next to Pont Bonen for sale now .
