Hold on ... just had another e-mail from Geipan.  They now say they meant a bird, not an insect.

Humph!

I found another photo and when I zoom in it looks delta winged.

The fact that none of us saw it makes me believe that it is an insect, I have no other explanation, and that's probably their assumption too.

Ah well ... We can come out of the cellar then!

Hi Winnie,

I can except that it was possible there was an insect on the lence on your phone, BUT, are they saying that your daughters phone had an insect on it as well?.

Well they have responded.  It's an insect.  I tend to disagree as I have scrutinised some other pics and it's further in the distance but still there.

Interesting huh?

I have 'reported' the siting to CNES France.  Got a reply within ten minutes ... but just to say they didn't get the pictures (they missed the link I'd sent).  However I re-sent the pics and am awaiting a reply.

In the meantime I have looked on YouTube and the only drone which is a possibility is the US Navy's X-47B drone.  But I can't think why it would be flying over Bretagne ....

Anyway will keep you updated.

Regards

Winnie
