I doubt any problems will occur in the UK other than me being told to switch off my phone.

Flight mode is ok but I was told to switch it off completely and I didn't intend on arguing with the staff!

Thanks for the tip Johnny. I intend printing out my boarding pass as a Plan B ... just in case!  My husband returned from the UK the other weekend from EMA and he used the app .. no problem for him he says ...

I suspect lots of the smaller airports will have the same issues. When I was going through Brest departures the other week a gentleman had his boarding pass on his phone and the lady checking the passes looked at his phone briefly, shrugged her sholders and sent him through.

They did not have the equipment to accept the boarding card on the app. I showed them the app with the boarding card in view on the screen and they asked for the paper version because they did not have the equipment to scan it. I can only presume some of the staff are not trained up on it.

Used the app at Dinard with no problems. Just put your phone on flight mode.
