not chrones i'm afraid , but i have a very similar complaint - ucerative colitis - pleny of very compent consultants who are very diligente. re insurance, here you are not penalised for pre existing conditions, but if as i suspect, chrones comes under the same category as colitis, you are covered by the state for everything 100% ie - you will not pay for doc, consultant, hospital or prescriptions for visits/medications related to the complaint ie affectations de longue duree.

have a look at this http://www.e-sante.fr/affections-longue-duree-prise-en-charge-100-pourquoi-pour-qui-comment/actualite/485

Hi, I have just joined the group. So as a newbe I would like to teel you all of my situation. I will be moving to France ( st Amour) later this year. I have Crohn's and would like to know about any medical insurance companies that will be able to offer me cover. My girlfriend is Swiss who will also be moving (she owns a house there) so the language is not an issue. I would also like to be of any help to others with similar issues.

I am a specialist in vintage and classic hifi and audio equipment especially Bang & Olufsen and would like to extend my knowledge to help others.

thank you

Barrie

Thanks Bretonne

I will take a look!

I was hoping to hear from any expats who have moved to Brittany with this chronic illness and their experiences of coping with the healthcare systems and  general coping strategies.

I am grateful for your reply

Thank you
