In my experience, almost all drs have spoken English when Ive struggled with certain french words. I can only think of 1 who didn't of all the places, my gp surgery, hosp, clinics, dentists, opticians etc. As AQ says I would imagine they have to continue English studies as part of their health training. I would recommend phoning your nearest and just asking if they do.

I believe that the majority of doctors will have studied English at university before medical training, but some are more happy to use English than others. You may need to enquire  at a few surgeries to find one with an English speaking doctor. The Mairie or Hotel de Ville should be able to give addresses. Remember, however, that if your GP refers you to a hospital / specialist, there is no guarantee that they will speak English, even if they can. If you try as much French as you can, they will usually do their best to explain things.
