The free prescription only applies if it is a Maladie à Longue Durée does it not;as we do not know if this is an illness or just prevention eg statins or warfarin it would be difficult to say exactly.Also be aware that medication used in France may be different to the ones used in the uk and the doctor will want to examine/do tests anyway so if yu do move over ensure you bring enough to cover the time necessary to be processed by CPAM to get your carte vitale before you can go to the DR

they would still need top up insurance for the rest of the health care, but will be slightly reduced because of the 100%  in order to not pay on other things.

France has a list of conditions for which you can be covered 100%

Your cosultant will sign the form and cpam notified. Your prescriptions, should you qualify, will state 100% and you will not be charged at the pharmacy
