You go to the CAF in your town who will give you the forms , you  then take the forms to your bank who prove your transfer income (Pension) and you have to supply your annual declaration of pension from the UK , once you have lodged these with the CAF they send you a docket that you give to your Complimentary insurance who then ask for the direct payment , you don't actually see the transfer but your insurer will then send you your new payment (reduced) amount . to be renewed annualy  , and its 500€ each . If you need help pm me I do it for a few friends here .

Surely no-one's pension is less than £10? Is that per week, month, year?!

We are with AFPS but we did it through a broker, Soficas - a guy there called Tony is English. There are 4 levels of cover so you can buy the one that suits your needs (and wallet!).

Every complimentary insurance agent is geared up for pensioners in France , you might shop around for better prices . If you are over 65 and have a UK pension which is less than 10 pounds you can get a free annual payment of 500€ each to help you pay your Complimentary insurance . its an annual reknewal but easy to do .
