Important to mention....................choose one that pays 'up front' not one where you have to pay, send off forms and then get a refund. We're with AFPS (based in Bordeaux but obtained via a broker, Soficas). There are 4 options for all budgets. We've been very pleased with them.

Hi, we have used them for 5 years, very happy with the service. Due to changes in health we have had to recently review our policy and the person we spoke with at Exclusive was Johanna Matthews. She was very helpful and knowlegeable. It is so important to get the right policy for your situation. We speak reasonable French but to be able to do this in English has been very beneficial.

 Good luck

Definitely shop around. They seem quite pricey to me and the cheaper policies cover you for very little. It claims to be catastrophe cover only but really the French System gives you pretty good cover for catastrophes.

Before you decide why don't you visit your bank as they often have good policies which are also very competitive.  If you print off copies of what Exclusive can offer then you can take it to the bank to see how the cover compares.

I haven't heard of this company but must agree their website does look very straightforward and it's a definite bonus with everything being produced in English
