If they are 5 mm pellets they are 0.196 caliber not 0.22 calibre which is 5.588 mm

Also be aware when buying pellets in France that their .22 pellets are 5mm as opposed to 5.5mm for an English/Chinese gun. I have bought them at a fishing shop in Ploermel when I specified they were for an English gun but they were quite a bit more expensive than their normal ones.

Some of the Chinese rifles are pretty goog. Accurate and powerful. A scope is certainly a good idea because you will really need a head shot to stop a pigeon with one shot.

Have tried netting the brassicas, but unless the neta are supported the pigeons still do damage, also my Russian Kale , which are  not supposed to be a pigeon favourite are being attacked.

In the 'leaner' months of the year I look forward to my cabbage soup to keep me going  - I may not survive to next Summer unless I can limit the pigeon damage !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
