I recommend you get in touch with Glenn Elcock.  He's English, fully registered in France and has, over the last 14 years done three bathrooms for us, as well as more complicated work (like converting an old bar into a modern restaurant).  Not only is the work standard good but he also tends to pitch in with helpful suggestions if needed.  He'll do you a devis and he turns up when he says he will.  What's more, he has a tendancy to let you shop around for most of the materials rather than supply them himself, with a mark-up.  We are currently living in Riantec (56670), near Lorient, and you are more than welcome to come over and see what he's done for us here, just get in touch.  Glenn's number is 0297510716.

Many thanks for your reply 'st meeny'.  Had hoped for a few more suggestions, but like you say the French companies like Lapeyre and Leroy Merlin do have contractors and you can get a devis etc. The French companies we've used on other jobs have like you say, come when they've said and done a good job.  Think we may go down that route,

Lapeyre do a compehensive service , design, material choice, find the workmen etc,

But I didn't find it cheap

But the job gets done and the materials and work men all turn up on the due dates.
