Try Elizabeth Chadwick.  I'm not sure of specific titles as she has written so many, but i'm sure some of them are what you are after.  Happy reading.

Ohhhhthatswhereiputit, thanks!  Been trying to fathom it out all day!  Read so many books like that they all merge into 1!  They were a great read, loved them!

Hi all, thank you for your recommendations, I can't cope with books that flit from now to the past, I have Sepulchre by Kate Mosse in paperback and gave up reading after about 50 pages. I have found a trilogy by David Cragg so I might give them a go. Nellp, I have read The grail quest books and they the ones in Brittany, I even made my other half drive me to La Roche Derrien after reading the books.I am waiting now for the last Hereward book, due in August, and the last Uthred of Bebbenburg book, Bernard Cornwell The Warrior Chronicles. Thanks again everyone. Still hoping for some recommendations from the 1400's.

And you might also like some of Ken Follet's novels, one particular series is about Brittany, can't remember the names of the books but if you like historical novels based around real events, you will like this.
