Brian - thank you for your reply.  Are you a painter asking me questions so you can give me a price.  If so can you PM me please with your prices with all the options you mentioned. It would be much appreciated.

I'd say it all depends what's involved. Rubbing down and cleaning, undercoat and two topcoats will be dearer than just slapping new paint over old. And are you supplying the paint, or will you look to the painter to bring it with them?

Thanks for the positive replies.

Just wanted to see how much I should be paying someone to do the work.  I know most Brits work on a daily basis but French on per meter (a couple that I asked for estimates).

Try to contact Andrew Briggs. We had quotes between 9& 14,0000 for our work. Andrew is much cheaper and a fantastic handyman to boot. +33 2 98 63 92 70  livrs near Morlaix.
