If you buy 1 KwH of electricity you will get just that amount of heat. Any electric heater is 100% efficient. ( only exception would be storage heaters -  which always rated those at 95% due to the odd days when you didn't need the heat).

I would imagine that an electrically heated wet central heating system will have various thermal losses from the pipework and such. I think I would choose some free standing or wall mounted heaters with a decent control mechanism, such as timers and thermostats. Lower maintenance and probably cheaper to buy and install.

that's the one george v, I am looking for something to go in a flat with no chimney or gas,just wondered how this compared to having electric room heaters.sabc15.

Played around with the URL as it is unlikely that a pdf would have a .sabc15. after it.

I do have experience of a similar device and they cost a lot to run.  Much better to go for wood or wood pellets.
